Condemned 2: Bloodshot (XB360)

Strengths: (1) Fun and unique first person melee combat (2) Great graphics and genuinely creepy atmosphere (3) Many improvements over first game

Weakness: (1) Ignore the multiplayer (2) Some may find it too short

Condemned 2: Bloodshot is an even better sequel to what was a unique and well-done launch title for the XBOX 360. The graphics have been improved, making the enemies and environments even scarier. The combat is now more satisfying and nuanced as you have more options for fighting and finishing foes off using the environment. The crime scene investigations have also been improved to provide more of an intellectual challenge than the simple sequences presented in the first game. The story does a good job of tying to the first game without leaving those who have not played the first entry in the dark. The sound effects and musics are perfect for the creepy atmosphere and provide much of the frights themselves. This is a very well-done game for those who are seeking a brutal entry in the horror genre.

Condemned 2

Strengths: very gruesome, variety of weapons, graphics

Weakness: multiplayer, auto-save

If you enjoyed the first game you’ll enjoy this one. The game resembles manhunt in many ways, which I think is a good thing. The combat is very gruesome and there are lots of weapons for you to dish out damage. The story itself gets very weird near the end of the game. The first part of it was fine and dark, but it starts getting a little too unbelievable as it nears the end. The multiplayer feels like it was tacked on. I enjoyed the game and recommend it to others.

How does a guy get condemned twice?

Strengths: Scary atmosphere. Good graphics. Tense action.

Weakness: Multiplayer is worthless. Poorly conceived story.

Condemned 2 is a greta game in the tradition of the horror genre. However, while from a horror action perspective it's perfect, everything else is kinda poor. The story doesn't make sense and seems more an excuse to explain all the wierd happenings in the game. Also, the addition of multiplayer was a mistake.

Ultimately, get the game, maybe a rental, and play through it. it's definatly worth playing.

Horrifyingly Wonderful Sequel

Strengths: + Improved graphics visuals + Sound +Moody/Creepy Atmosphere +Weapon variety +Shock Value +Violence +Smarter AI +New fight mechanics

Weakness: -Multiplayer (not full potential) -Not for children -Compelling but Confusing story -Fairly short -Low replay value

Condemned 2: Bloodshot takes place after the events of Condemned. Players do not necessarily need to play the original as the storyline is fairly straightforward. Gamers play as Ethan Thomas as he is called in to assist in a major crime investigation.
Those that enjoyed Condemned will be happy to know the sequel has improved on almost every aspect of the original. Bloodshot definitely feels creepier. Graphics from characters to background settings look frightening good. The sound effects/music in the game does a wonderful job of creating a moody and creepy atmosphere. Gameplay has also improved. There are more weapons in Bloodshot, and new methods to defeat foes.

Bloodshot is not without its faults. The storyline can get confusing at times. Gamers may also find the game to be fairly short. There is a multiplayer mode in Bloodshot, but the mode is not very engaging. Bloodshot can be completed fairly quickly and there is not much replay value.

Be warned this game is not for little children or does that scary easily.
If you do not fall into either of those categories then Bloodshot is a great game that is highly recommended.

Condemned 2: Bloodshot (Xbox 360)

Strengths: Improved graphics, scary atmosphere, upgraded combat system

Weakness: Bad multiplayer

Condemned 2: Bloodshot takes place a year after the events of the first game, and goes through a nice upgrade in the process. The graphics have been nicely improved, and it adds to the fright factor in the game, which gets very frightening at times. The combat system also goes through an upgrade, giving additional moves to master and more depth to the combat system. Some additional guns have been added, though it's still an emphasis on melee combat like the first game. And like the first game, the storyline is a bit of a head-scratcher, so it's important to keep an eye on things. The multiplayer seems like an afterthought, and it gets very boring very quickly. The first game was a great single-player game, and this is the strength of the sequel.

Bloody Good!

Strengths: Punching ugly dudes in the face

Weakness: Screaming like a little girl in front of your friends

Bloodshot takes everything great about the first Condemned and beats it into a bloody pulp -- in a good way! Combat has been overhauled, with great new combos, finishing moves, and environmental kills. Multiplayer has been added (for better or worse), and the presentation is much creepier. Heck, even the list of achievements is an improvement (the first game was short in Gamerscore). While the gameplay eventually becomes repetitive and weakens over the course of the game, Condemned 2: Bloodshot still delivers a knockout punch.

Good Follow Up To A Good Showing

Strengths: Better graphics, new combat moves, scary setting.

Weakness: Multiplayer is worthless, story is confusing.

I really like the first Condemned when is it was one of the launch titles for the 360. This is the one game that will scare the pants off you and is best played in the dark and the surround sound blasted. Villains come out of nowhere and try and jump you in the dark. Story is just so so but the game play is pretty solid.
New finishing moves for hand to hand combat and the use of objects strewn throughout each level can be used to defeat the enemies. More gun-play is used in this game for a more fps type game.
Graphics got a slight jump from the original and there is more room to roam outside instead of hallways. The multi-player is pretty much worthless and they could have axed it to add more depth to the single player. I would recommend this game if you really like getting scared.

Condemned 2: Bloodshot

The first Condemned game was a launch title for the 360 that was a painful, brutal experience. I described Condemned 1 as a first-person melee combat game because the focus wasn’t on gunning enemies down. Instead the primary weapons in the game were your fists or items scattered in the game such as pieces of lumber, pipes, et cetera. It was a brutal experience in a good way because the game was...
